A Zine for the Hopeless Romantics
This zine was inspired by my love of romantic comedies, classic romance novels, and the idea of being a “hopeless romantic”—a sentiment I relate to deeply. I wanted it to feel playful and feminine, so I incorporated a handwritten-style typeface and added my own illustrations throughout. As you flip through the pages, each spread stands on its own while still contributing to a cohesive visual narrative.
While designing this zine, my goal was for each spread to have a unique layout. I spent time thoughtfully determining how the content would live on each spread, resulting in a collage-like exploration of romance in its many forms. One of my favorite spreads is the romance quiz, inspired by the magazines I grew up reading—like Seventeen and Tiger Beat—that always included fun quizzes I enjoyed with my older sisters.
